Together, staff and patients demonstrated exactly why the hospital is so highly regarded by the community it serves. A wonderful tea party was held in the reception to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. In the same way that people across the country had the opportunity to gather and enjoy each other’s company, so too did the patients of the hospital’s Mary Robertson Ward.
The League of Friends team was invited to participate and what a pleasure it was to experience such a special afternoon. It’s always great to meet patients, their families and the NHS team – with a few cream scones adding to the enjoyment!
Staff and patients had worked hard to create the rather glorious Charles and Camilla doppelgängers, as well as the beautifully crafted state coach. Three cheers for the patients and staff of South Petherton Community Hospital!
