The League of Friends funded a beautiful diorama situated in the hospital grounds. It is a memorial for Cathy Gilham, who worked at the hospital for 40 years.
The diorama identifies geographic features visible to the north of the Hospital, from Ham Hill to Burrow Mump.
Patients, their families and friends can get a better sense of the hospital’s location by visiting the diorama and exploring the local geography. This can be particularly important for those who are not local and who may not know the area well. The diorama helps to anchor people physically as well as providing a point of interest for people to share.
