The sun shone on South Petherton Community Hospital’s annual spectacular – its Harvest Fete and Craft Fair. Smiles were in abundance throughout the afternoon, as friends were reunited in support of the community’s treasured NHS hospital.
Those who visited the Harvest Fete ranged in age from a new born baby to those in their nineties, and as out-patients mingled with in-patients, and families passed the time with hospital staff, it was evident just how valued South Petherton Community Hospital is to the people it serves.
The League of Friends of South Petherton Hospital is committed to providing important equipment and services, as well as supporting innovative research, that otherwise would not be available at the hospital. It is run by volunteers who share a passion for the hospital and the local community – and events such as the fete allow us to raise funds as well as get to know our neighbours better.
Already the plans are forming for 2018 – we look forward to seeing you!
