Your local community hospital is looking for a new volunteer trustee to join the committee of its League of Friends.
The trustees are responsible for managing all aspects of the League of Friends of South Petherton Hospital – a registered small and dynamic charity. The committee meets four times a year and trustees undertake a range of activities at other times; from attending meetings held by Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to participating in community events, such as coffee mornings in Martock, and distributing leaflets locally.
Being a trustee is a great experience as you are able to contribute positively to the health and wellbeing of the hospital community, as well as work alongside a collaborative, creative and committed team of fellow trustees.
This is not a ‘glory role’, but it is an extremely rewarding one.
If you are interested in finding out more, or applying to be a trustee of this small and dynamic charity, then please contact Paull Robathan: chair (at) lofsph.org.uk or 01460 249119.
