On Saturday 24 September, the amazing ‘See Bike See Life’ team achieved their goal of fundraising for three organisations that have been instrumental in the ongoing recovery of Ashton, a local Somerset teenager, after he suffered a severe motorbike accident near Yeovilton early in 2016.
Their unique charity challenge saw the team haul the mangled motorbike involved in the accident from Yeovilton to Bristol’s Southmead Hospital. The endeavour took two days and a team of many to organise and participate in the challenge. Along the way they were met with generosity from strangers and upon arrival at Southmead Hospital they were greeted by cheers and applause from onlookers, family, friends and members of the Bristol medical team who cared for Ashton.
A massive “Congratulations and Thank You” to the ‘See Bike See Life’ team for their much appreciated fundraising activities from all of us at the League of Friends of South Petherton Hospital. Your contribution shall definitiely benefit our local community through the money you have raised and through the inspiration you have provided.
