Our spasticity service has gone mobile!

Jo Moore is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist for Stroke and Acquired Brain Injury and Advanced Spasticity Practitioner. In 2023, Jo sought funding for a portable ultrasound device to enhance the delivery of botulinum toxin injections on the ward at South Petherton Community Hospital and in the community. The League of Friends was pleased to award her the full amount needed to purchase the equipment.

Taking Action: Combatting South Petherton’s litter, one piece at a time

As part of Keep Britain Tidy’s #GBSpringClean campaign, one trustee of the League of Friends of South Petherton Hospital has been picking up litter from the local lanes, to make a difference today and for generations to come. I’ve even carried a car exhaust back home. Give me strength… literally.

South Petherton Carnival 2023 Donation

What a fabulous community! At the South Petherton Carnival AGM, the trustees generously donated funds they raised at this year’s dynamic carnival, to a number of local groups. It was wonderful for the League of Friends to receive their donation – and be assured that we will use it to contribute to the health and wellbeing of the hospital community.
