The League of Friends was approached by the physiotherapy team at South Petherton Community Hospital to fund the purchase of a new life-size physical model of a human spine. We were happy to do so as the model is an effective tool for helping patients understand their back-related conditions.
Money is raised for the League of Friends of South Petherton Hospital in all sorts of ways, and every penny is most appreciated and put to good use. One way in which funds are raised is through the collection tins that are placed locally, e.g. in the hospital reception, at the village Post Office and in the butchers. Indeed, the money raised from a single collection tin enables us to buy items such as the new spine model for the physio team – and their patients.
So, if you have any spare coins that are weighing you down, please pop them into one of our collection tins and know that your contribution will be used to support our community in myriad ways.
